Shopping For Christmas

I thought I would talk about shopping. An enjoyable activity for some but a torture chore for others. During Christmas time it can be the same but even more exaggerated. The twinkling lights and humongous decorations as well as the millions of shoppers in the stores and cars on the roads.

When me and my Special Someone went out to go shopping it was not a good experience. We went out and got stuck in traffic, ended up in a queue for the car park and had to register and pay for a car park that we didn’t even have enough time to walk up to the town. In the end we went home. Had a bit of lunch, a nap and tried again later. This time the car park wasn’t busy and we managed to walk around for an hour or so and even managed a couple of purchases 😀 Yay!

Shopping for clothes and anything but food is not something we really enjoy but as it is Christmas so we decided to make it a better experience by going together. Sometimes doing certain activities together does build stress and does cause problems and me and my Special Someone don’t normally have issues but sometimes things get too much. The main thing to remember is (tis the season to be jolly ;0))that when things get too much maybe take a break. Christmas is meant to bring good feelings, happy feelings and when shopping, traffic and people are just giving you a headache just try not to take it out on each other. Keeping calm, talking stuff out and being there for each other counts most.

The Stress of Relationships: Relationship Stresses

Stress in general with your relationship is a bit of a strange one for some of us, but it is apparently normal for others. Relationships are wonderful things but they do have their bad sides. Some people find the responsibility of a relationship a bit too much, they feel pressured and stressed because of them which is why they get fed up and have difficulties.

In my relationship I have always Loved being a couple and having a relationship but my Special Someone was a little different, due to personal reasons sometimes things were too much. He was constantly worried about making mistakes, doing or saying the wrong thing to me and he panicked very easily. It might sound odd to some of you, but sometimes it happens. Imagine someone’s happiness being relied on you, every bit of their life matters on your actions and your words. Well that’s how he felt even though it is silly!

If you both discuss what you are finding too much and what would make you more comfortable in your relationship then I think it will ease the pressure. Always keep an eye on each others happiness and what you both want from your relationship.

No need to stress! ;0)

When it comes to relationships there is no right answer. Just relax and go with it. Enjoy the impulse fun and talk about the serious stuff when the time comes to it 😀

The Stress of Relationships: Your Stress

When it comes to relationships it isn’t always smooth sailing and sometimes the result is because of stress.

Life is full of stress and when you are in a relationship you may have to deal with a lot more them you can handle. What I mean by that, is that you all have your own life problems to deal with,  just like your girlfriend/boyfriend/partner has, but in a relationship  you are considered one and share everything which could sometimes mean each others problems.

My Special Someone and I have dealt with our fair share of stress which not only causes us problems but it effects our relationship too, which as a result makes things even worse. One thing I can say for definite is no matter what happens don’t lose sight of what is making you feel the way you both feel. The situation you are going through can make you feel very emotional, you can get angry, upset and very frustrated and you will aim all those emotions at your girlfriend/boyfriend/partner which could cause arguments, fights and even big problems.

When it came to me and my Special Someone we always tried to be understanding of each other, we always tried to make sure that the other one calmed down a bit and most importantly we always tried to talk through stuff even if the conversation didn’t always head in the right direction (basically both of our faults) but we did try to be there for each other(depending on whose problem it was) One other thing to remember is that if you are the one with problems then just be careful with how much you complain and react towards it around your girlfriend/boyfriend/partner as there is only so much they can handle even if they are trying their very best to do the right thing by you. Be aware and understanding of what they have to put up with too.
